    Lately, Independence Day has had a lack of tradition for me. When I was a kid, we used to go camping the whole week of the 4th, but I haven't have a tradition since then.

She is a fabulous photographer, and has sold a few things on Red Bubble, but needs a little kick in the pants to help her get the business going! She's sooo rurally located though that she has to "shoo" the neighbors chickens off the road to drive home!!!     July 4 declares are independence, my husband is an army man and currently in Korea. So every day he works for our country. Our family usually has a BBQ and watches fire works!

    Our family tradition includes watching the 4th of July Parade, cooking out with all the family over followed by everyone jumping in their cars to go watch the fireworks. Thank you to all the military personal for protecting our country. My daughter served in the Marines.

    For Independence day our traditions have changed a bit. As a kid, we always camped on the river right across from a huge fireworks display. In more recent years, we just walked down to a park to watch them, but it has gotten a bit too crowded and crazy lately, so this year we're heading to my hubby's family's farm for their fireworks show. I know quite a few soldiers who have served/are serving and am grateful for what they do for our country!

    Every July 4th, my family and I venture out to our post that hubby is assigned to and we enjoy the whole day...and night, with good friends and family. We listen to the live music, dance, picnic, and watch the always amazing firework shows! And yes! I always tell a soldier thank you! *snicker* It's easy to do when you are married to one ;)

    Independence Day for me has always been special :) It's a time where my family gets together and rather than shooting fireworks, we like to go and watch others firing them instead. This year is particularly special because it's my daughter's first 4th of July! I hate how this, along with a lot of other holidays, has been turned into a day about money and parties :( People should remember that that day is for the countless men and women; both past, present and future, that give their lives to keep what we have here intact! Thank you to ALL soldiers out there that still fight for what we call freedom! Can't thank you enough! God bless you ALL!

    For as long as I can remember all of my family in the area usually go to my Moms house for the 4th of July. She has a pool and a large backyard perfect for the 4th of July celebration. This year will be a little different because my Mom has moved to a much smaller place that wont really accomidate all of us so it will be interesting to see what happens this year.

    Four years ago my husband proposed to me on Independence Day! So for me it's all about family tradition in celebrating national tradition. My bother recently just joined the Army and is now serving in our military. Makes me proud to be his sister and also an American! I could go on, and on, but I'll keep it in a nutshell! :)

    I want to win because I would like to receive some items that I can use to further my photography business. Right now, I have no props or special equipment and I am not able to "invest" to further my business at this time. I am so excited that there are giveaways going on to help people like me, that need a little push at the beginning.     Independence Day is a reminder for me to be thankful (and proud) to be an American. I've traveled to tons of countries and although I enjoyed the time spent there, I wanted to kiss the ground upon arrival into Good Ol' USA, Land that I love. My family doesn't usually get together on July 4th, but I spend that day with my friends who have no family to barbeque with. I love it because we can celebrate however we want, with whoever we want, every year! And we always say a prayer for the men and women who give their lives to protect ours!

    On the 4th of July we go to my parents' house. They live outside of the city limits so we can do fireworks there. The kids get sweaty and sticky and tired but it's lots of fun! This year I'm excited because I have learned how to photograph fireworks.

    Independence Day has always been one of my favorite holidays. When I was younger, it was because of the fireworks and where my family would trek to find the best seat in the house for them. Today, it's about teaching my kids about our nation's heritage and making sure that they appreciate the freedoms we enjoy and the sacrifices our service men and women enjoy to provide those freedoms. I want my kids to understand why we are celebrating.

    Independence Day for me means family time, barbecue cookouts, watermelon, and swimming. It's a time to get together with family and spend time with them and remember why we're free and what we're celebrating. To appreciate all the men and women in the service fighting for our rights to have the barbecues and family time. Thank you to all military for all you do! And a HUGE thank you to the military wives and families who go without seeing their loved ones so we can have what we have. That is the ultimate sacrifice.

    I actually just moved to a new town so we don't really have any traditions yet. This is the year to start them but we haven't made any plans yet, probably will just go with the flow! It'll be fun to see what we come up with. And huge thanks to all of my friend in San Diego serving with the Marines and Navy! No one is currently deployed, so it'll be a relaxing 4th of July for me this year (unlike last year when 6 were deployed!). I'm thinking of all of those who are currently deployed and their family and friends!

    Fourth if July always reminds me if my family back home in hawaii. That's where I met my (soon to be ex-) husband who is in the Army.
    I miss all the cookouts and spending time with family. Being that hawaii has all the military branches there, july south was a big event. Now my oldest son is in the army. We should appreciate all our service men and women everyday, and be thankful that they protect our country.

    Why is 4th of July so important to me? Not only is it a day to be thankful for our independence and the people who have fought for it but it's my Nephews birthday. 13 years ago for the first time I became an aunt, it's 2nd best thing to being a mother.

    This 4th of July is especiall important to me because my Uncle just passed away in March and it will be the first family bbq/party that he wont be grilling at, and now I have to find the strength to enjoy the holiday and the memories we had together instead of just crumble. He was like my father to me, which is why it's so hard.

    I am a proud Marine Wife so independence day for me, is Thanking him and his buddies personally..and remembering all of the friends he and I have lost to the war..:( My husband has deployed 3 times already been hurt on all 3, but luckily is still breathing :) We have 3 amazing kiddos together and he is a wonderful marine! I love him and what he does for our country every single day!

    In our house, Fourth of July is something we try to incorporate all year long. We are strong believers and supporters of our Constitution and love to celebrate and educate those on the importance of being free and American.

    We love to go out to Disneyland and watch the fireworks & then go to see Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln as he discusses his Gettysburg Address. :)

    I've encountered this before and it is cause by the Page settings to be limited to USA only. I am from Canada. I hope she can fix this so other countries can like her too!

    I'd love to win because I'm having a little girl in August and have decided to put my new camera to use and perhaps get into photography - I also have a lot of friends in the photography business as I used to do amateur modeling.

    I like so many of the shops and items but my favorite is probably the sweet little pilot hat from Aunt Mimi's Designs because I am completely obsessed with hats for my little girl (her older sister loves hats too but she's 12 so her taste in hats is not so ADORABLE anymore)

    Entry # 3 - I would really LOVE to win because I am really trying to build my props and clothing for my portraiture business. For several years, I have been doing wedding photography along with newborn, child and family photography at various locations. I have set up a studio space and I would love to have all of these super adorable hats, clothes and props to help me build my studio.

    Entry # 4 - Independence Day is a day I ALWAYS spend relaxing and cooking out with my husband and both his family and my family. Sometimes we will swim or watch movies, but I can't think of a time when we didn't spend that day together.

    I would like to thank two special soldiers in the military that I had the pleasure to photograph today for their engagement session... the soon-to-be Mr. & Mrs. Angel and Chris Williams. Both have served in Iraq on more than one tour. They are back in the states with their super adorable son Landon that I was also able to photograph today. They are a wonderful family and both are caring wonderful soldiers!

    And the final entry would be what we do on the fourth of july! My family always goes to Tweetsie Railroad in Boone, N.C. , its nothing big but its always fun for the kids, and after we are done riding all the rides we go back to cook out and wait for fireworks!!

    i have liked all the vendors! Except for Mamarazzi Impressions Photography. The link doesn't work and just takes me back to my homepage...This has happened before and I believe it is because the page settings are limited to USA only...

    The 4th of July weekend has always been a time of celebration for our family. My dads birthday is the 3rd so we've always celebrated him on this weekend. But as I've gotten older, the meaning of the celebration has changed slightly, especially after 9/11. I realized that I take my freedom for granted and now I am so thankful for all of the men and women who work so very hard and sacrifice their lives for our freedom!!! God Bless America!!!
